The hotel guests find themselves in an unexpected situation when the hotel is closed down due to a dangerous virus. However, this in not the only surprising turn: love stories and triangles, closely guarded secrets, a stained and important carpet, and a killer who wanders around within the hotel walls.

Detective Elder has the task of winding up the threads - and she also finds traces of an old friend in the meantime.
