The Further Tales of Mother Goose
PR-EVOLUTION DANCE COMPANY
In The Further Tales of Mother Goose, we follow the tried and tested structure of the first part, adapting a number of varied, exciting fairy tales.
In this part, we look into the everyday lives of Mother Goose and her goslings, hearing Mother Goose’s stories again. But only after she finally finds her long-lost basket!
First we visit the three little pigs: Grunt, Brunt and Runt. Suddenly a nasty wolf appears. Luckily, the wolf comes off worst in the end, while the piglets live happily ever after, and then turn back into goslings.
Shortly after that, a new adventure begins: we arrive at a wonderful place, in the realm of the dream elves – in a faraway land, where the fields, the bushes and the trees are fantastically colourful, and where the emerald green-eyed dream elves concoct people’s dreams. One day, one of the elves has an unusual idea, and so we fly further on to the next story, as if we were dreaming.
Here Mother Goose’s old dream of becoming a fairy in one of the stories, finally comes true. This is how we arrive in the life of Cinderella, whose stepmother and stepsisters force her to work continuously. But despite all the difficulties, Cinderella goes to the ball, where she meets the prince. The clock strikes midnight and Cinderella has to leave immediately. The prince goes after her… And they live happily ever after.
Our story, too, is coming to an end, and as we know, all is well that ends well. Towards the end of the story, we find ourselves yet again in fairyland with Mother Goose and her goslings.
